clare
Last Christmas
...in the UK that is for some time. It is not long until I shall be jetting off, and I am somewhat ill prepared. It's been a quite Christmas, though it has been hard to avoid discussions and news about spending and children being spoiled. Christmas no longer means what it used to, etc.
I took the picture below, today, while walking along the beach. It reminds me of childhood during the holidays, when everything was new and exciting. And, when Christmas meant no school, snow, Chico (our chihuaha before they were popular) wading through the snow as the drifts were bigger than him, christmas carols in church, and spending time with my sisters outside. I wonder whether children still feel this way? From this, I think they still do. It's not all about presents, but experiences and discovery. Something I know I shall be feeling in a few short weeks.
